FERNANDO DE ALMEIDA

Graduated in Mechanical Engineering, Fernando de Almeida started his career in the nautical sector in 1989, at the Yankee Delta studio, in Monza, Italy.

In the following year, Fernando worked at Nauta Yachts, in Milan, where he participated in the design of several sailing yachts, including the Nauta 70' and the interior of a whole range of sportsfisherman of Bertram Yachts, in Miami.

From 1993 to 1997 participated in many sailboat projects in Brazil.

In 1998 Fernando was invited by Nauta Yachts to participate in My Song 84' project, a super sailing boat that would be built in Cookson shipyard, in New Zealand and in several other projects of sailboats from 78' to 130',

Two years later, Fernando was called to work in the prestigious and revolutionary Wally Yachts, in Monaco, where he conceived the Wally 143 Esense and Wally 80 sailboats, the latter being granted in 2008 the Compasso d´Oro ADI award, which is the highest award of the Italian design.

In 2003 Fernando set up his own design office: Fernando de Almeida Design office and performs designs of boats ranging from 26 to 220 feet, some of them built in the brazilian shipyards – such as ProBoat in Angra dos Reis; Rio Star in Rio de Janeiro; Intermarine and Spirit Ferretti in São Paulo; and Inace in Fortaleza and in the South-African shipyard Southern Wind, to which he conceived the 72' sailing yacht, Kiboko.These world class designs have been shown by specialized magazines in Brazil and overseas.

Sócia fundadora do Fernando de Almeida Yacht Design, Veronica Siqueira de Almeida é arquiteta urbanista formada pela Fundação Armando Alvares Penteado.

Morou na Itália, em Milão, onde cursou algumas matérias na faculdade de arquitetura do Politécnico di Milano, trabalhou no Studio Milisich Design desenhando produtos, móveis e catálogos para diversas marcas de móveis italianas e standes para clientes em duas edições do Salone del Mobilie.

Morou no Sul da França atuando como designer gráfica e web para clientes de toda a região: Mônaco, Saint Paul de Vence, Grasse, Cannes e Nice.
